Maria Kallinikou was born in 1982 in Athens, Greece. Her admiration for the natural world, led her in studying Biology.

Alongside with her scientific interest, she has a profound love for philosophy and art.

Her artistic talent extends to painting and photography, where she captures beauty through unique perspectives.

Maria’s first exhibition was in 2014, in Gallery Contraste in Fribourg, Switzerland with the poster “Globalized Mind”.

Since 2023, has immersed herself in the craft of pottery.

Driven by authenticity, she creates pieces that merge from both geometric and organic forms resulting in works that are timeless and unique.

The glazes have been created from scratch to fully explore their chemistry and possibilities of the materials. This hand-on approach allows freedom to experiment in a way that commercial glazes cannot render.

Every piece of art shall be unique, authentic.
